Welcome to North Jersey Animal Hospital! We can’t wait to meet you and your pet. We are committed to providing the highest standard of patient care throughout your pet’s entire life. If you are visiting us for the first time, save some time by filling out our new patient paperwork and reviewing our general protocols below.
What to Expect as a New Client
Our goal at North Jersey Animal Hospital has always been to deliver exceptional client service and medical care for pets in the Wayne, NJ area. We build lasting relationships with our clientele through consistent communication, technological advances in veterinary medicine, a wide range of services, and most importantly, compassionate care for all pets entrusted to us.
We strive to always keep your pet healthy, comfortable, and protected against diseases and illnesses. Your veterinarian will perform a thorough physical exam of your pet to check all their organ systems and recommend the appropriate vaccines for their needs. A full physical examination for your pet includes checking the following:
- Eyes, ears, and nose
- Heart and respiration
- Abdominal palpation
- Bite placement
- Signs of infection or parasites
- Proper growth and development
- Presence of hernia
- Initial vaccinations and customized vaccination schedule
Our friendly client service team uses our computerized appointment scheduler to efficiently schedule you and your pet and accommodate your requests to the best of our ability. Our regular hours for appointments are as follows:
- Monday-Thursday: 8am-6pm
- Friday: 8am-5pm
- Saturday: 8am-1pm
- Sunday: Closed
We strongly encourage scheduled appointments, but we can accommodate walk-in appointments if needed. Please know that while there may be a wait for walk-ins during busy times, our team always works hard to see your pet as soon as possible. True emergencies will be seen immediately upon arrival.
When you arrive for your first visit, please try to arrive 10 minutes early in case you need to complete any paperwork prior to your appointment.
With the safety of our patients in mind, we require all vaccinations for pets to be up to date. Please also be sure to have all dogs on a leash and any small dogs or cats in a pet carrier before entering our facility.
North Jersey Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, CareCredit, American Express, Mastercard, or Visa at the time services are rendered. We will communicate all treatments to you and provide estimates prior to surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate prior to treatment, please feel free to request one at any time.
We provide care to dogs, cats, ferrets, and pocket pets in the Wayne, NJ area. Only select veterinarians at North Jersey Animal Hospital currently provide care to ferrets and pocket pets. Please call us for more information.
